ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming team lost a highly contested affair on Saturday evening against RIT as the Bombers dropped a 155-145 outing to RIT. It was the first defeat of the season for IC, but the Tigers proved to be even competition in many events at the Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium as they surely will compete again in postseason events.
Reigning Liberty League Performer of the Week,
James Collishaw had a nice individual performance winning the 50-yard freestyle by touching the final wall at 21.35. He swam to a season-best time of 1:43.68 to win the 200-yard freestyle and won his third individual event of the evening by winning over a second in the 100-yard freestyle (47.32).
Jack Wadsworth was equally as dominant winning both the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke events. He won the 200-yard backstroke with a recorded time of 1:55.96, won the 100-yard event by just under three seconds (50.44) and the talented sophomore capped off his day by winning the 200-yard IM with a finals time of 1:55.94.
