Track & Field Teams Release Outdoor Schedule

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's and women's track & field teams will officially begin their outdoor season on Friday, March 27 on the first day of the Navy Invitational in Annapolis, Md. at 4 p.m. The following day, both teams will compete in the second day of the invitational, starting at 10 a.m.
 
Ithaca will finish up its indoor season just two weeks prior to the Navy Invitational at the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 13-14 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
 
After competing at the Navy Invitational, the Bombers will travel to Ewing, N.J. the following weekend for the TCNJ Invitational starting at 10 a.m. on April 4. On the same day, different members of the team will take part in an invitational at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y. at 10 a.m.
 
Next, part of the team will travel to Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in a two-day invitational on Apr. 10-11 starting at 1 p.m. on both days. Other members of the team will be sent to meets at both Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y. and Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. on Apr.11 starting at 10 a.m.
 
Ithaca will then make the short trip to Cortland, N.Y. to take part in a two-day invitational at SUNY Cortland on Apr. 17-18 starting at 1 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Part of the team will also be sent to back Moravian to compete in a dual meet at 10 a.m.
 
On Apr. 23-24 the Bombers will head to south to Philadelphia, Pa. to compete at the Penn Relays hosted by the University of Pennsylvania starting at 8 a.m. on both days. Ithaca will then finish up the regular season across town on East Hill, taking part in the Cornell Sunday Meet on Apr. 26 at 10 a.m.
 
Next the Bombers will head to St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. to compete in the Liberty League Championships on May 1 and 2. The championship meet will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday and on 10 a.m. on Saturday.
 
Last season, the women's team took first at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships with 295.5 points after finishing in third on the first day of competition. On the men's side, the Bombers took third at the championships last May 3-4, finishing with 177 points.
 
The following weekend, the Bombers will compete in SUNY Geneseo's Last Chance meet in Geneseo, N.Y. on May 9. The competition will begin at 10 a.m. Next Ithaca will head to Swarthmore, Pa. on May 11 to take part in the Swarthmore College's own Last Chance Meet starting at 2 p.m.
 
The Bombers will then compete at All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships the same week, on May 13-14 at Moravian. Competition on the first day will begin at 11 a.m. while starting at 10 a.m. on the second day.
 
Finally, members of the team may have the chance to participate in the Division III NCAA Outdoor Championships held on May 21-23. This year, nationals will be held close to home at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
