The Ithaca College softball team swept both games of its doubleheader against Army, winning the first game 3-1 and the second game 6-4.
 
Game 1 | Ithaca 3, Army 1
 
Army took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, but the Bombers took the lead with three runs scored in the top of the fourth inning to take the 3-1 lead.
 
Freshman Jenny Ott went 1-for-2 with one RBI and junior Wendy Jo Haft went 1-for-3 with one run scored.
 
Senior Kathy Volpi had one strikeout and only allowed five hits in the win.
 
Game 2 | Ithaca 6, Army 4
 
Ithaca scored one run in the top of the second inning and added two runs in the top of the third inning to take an early 3-0 lead, but Army took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning with four runs scored. The Bombers retook the lead as they tacked on three runs in the top of the fifth inning.
 
Senior Patti Sheedy went 3-for-3 with two RBI and senior Mildred Piscopo had one RBI as she went 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Junior Gretchen Lynch went 1-for-3 with one RBI and sophomore Diana Gorsch went 2-for-4 with one run scored.
 
Sophomore Julie Wilcox recorded four strikeouts and only gave up seven hits in the win.
