ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's basketball team easily defeated Bard, 73-36, on Friday evening in the final Friday game of the regular-season.

Ithaca is now 19-5 overall with a 14-3 mark in the Liberty League.

The Bombers displayed balanced scoring as nearly all players scored against the Raptors. Senior
Meghan Pickell netted 10 points to lead the team while
KellyAnne O'Reilly had nine points on the day. Sophomore
Grace Cannon scored eight points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds while first-year
Cara Volpe also finished with eight points.

Ithaca outscored Bard 16-2 in the first quarter, setting the tone for the remainder of the game. O'Reilly and
Annie Giannone combined for eight points in the first quarter to lead the way for the Bombers.

Ithaca did not allow Bard to score a point until the final 1:11, when first-year Christina Kiser netted a layup to put the Raptors on the board.

In the second quarter, Ithaca were once again productive on offense and stifling on defense, letting up just seven points while scoring 18.

Senior
Sara Jackson scored IC's first five points of the quarter, hitting a layup at 9:19 and a shot from distance with 8:10 remaining. Cannon went on to close out the quarter for the Bombers with four straight points on two free throws and a layup in the final minute.

The Bombers scored six straight points in the opening minutes of the third quarter on a layup from
Allie Tunick and back-to-back buckets from Pickell. Ithaca went on to build up a 48-15 advantage with 3:55 left, following an O'Reilly layup, before the Raptors outscored IC 9-2 to close out the quarter.

Bard's Katie Esposito hit four straight free throws for the Raptors, followed by a layup up from Jess Rylander. Jackson broke up the run with a layup for the Bombers with 1:49 remaining before Kiser hit a free throw and a layup with 1:08 left.

The fourth quarter had some fresh faces, as a number of first-years subbed in.

Lindsey Albertelli scored the first two of her four points with a layup at 8:35. Sophomore
Megan Yawman hit back-to-back jumpers with 6:53 remaining and Albertelli added her second bucket of the game just over two minutes later.

The Bombers are back in action tomorrow with the regular-season finale at Vassar, set to tip off of at 2 p.m. It is a crucial match up, as both teams are tied for first with a 14-3 conference record. The winner of tomorrow's game will claim the No. 1 seed and host the upcoming Liberty League Championship, which will be played next Saturday and Sunday.
