ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's track & field team got its 2019-20 season underway at the Cornell Greg Page Relays on Saturday. Sophomore
Dom Mikula highlighted the competition as he broke his own school record in the pole vault.
Mikula placed first overall as he cleared 4.81 meters (15 feet, 9.25 inches) to surpass his previous best mark of 4.80 meters. Mikula won the event by more than a foot.
Senior
Harrison Buttrick won the weight throw with a personal best mark of 16.66 meters (54' 8") and was sixth in the shot put at 13.04 meters (42' 9.5").
Freshman
Andy Frank took second place honors in the 300-meter dash with a time of 35.69 seconds. Frank also ran the lead leg on Ithaca's second place 4x400-meter relay team, which consisted of sophomore
Sam Carter, senior
Evan Jones and freshman
Nathaniel Oczkowski, and finished with a time of 3:28.06.
In the high jump, senior
Robert Greenwald cleared 1.95 meters (6' 4.75") to place third, while sophomore
Kasim Cisse was fourth at 1.90 meters (6' 2.75").

Ian Ertel finished with a time of 8:31.01 to come in fourth overall.
Sophomore
Matthew Tai placed fifth in the 60-meter dash in 7.10 seconds, while senior
Christopher Yeates followed in sixth with a time of 7.16 seconds.
Freshman
Callum Howald cleared 4.05 meters (13' 3.5") in the pole vault to finish in sixth.
Sophomore
Daniel Monchek came in eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.60 seconds.
The Bombers are off until January 10 when they head to Staten Island for the Spartan Regional at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
