POUGHKEESIE, N.Y. – Four players reached double figures as the Ithaca women's basketball team took down Vassar, 69-58, on Saturday afternoon.

Senior
KellyAnne O'Reilly led all scorers with a career-high 21 points as well as two rebounds and two steals. Senior
Cassidy O'Malley notched her third double-double of the year with a 15-point, 14-rebound performance while
Cara Volpe also netted a career-high 14 points. Junior
Megan Yawman pitched in 11 points a three assists for IC.

The Bombers jumped out to a quick lead following a layup and two free throws from junior
Grace Cannon. Following some back-and-forth action, a jumper from O'Reilly boosted IC's advantage to six points with 7:11 remaining.

Ithaca continued to hold a slight lead over Vassar until the final minute when Sarah Gillooly hit a jumper and Emily Tincher drained a 3-pointer, putting the Brewers up 20-18 heading into the second quarter.

The second quarter proved to be low scoring for both teams in the opening minutes, but a layup from Volpe midway through gave Ithaca the lead once again. Layups from Volpe and O'Malley as well as a 3-pointer from Yawman pushed IC's advantage to 31-25 with 1:28 remaining in the half.

Lindsey Albertelli gave IC a seven-point lead with just 29 seconds left. Vassar's Jackie Cenan ended the quarter with a layup with three seconds on the clock to send Ithaca into the half with a 35-30 edge.

Yawman drilled a 3-pointer to open up the second quarter but six straight points from the Brewers cut the Bombers' lead down to just two points at the 7:13 mark.

Ithaca went on a six-point run midway through the quarter to take its first double-digit lead of the game. O'Reilly started the run with a layup before Volpe added another layup and O'Malley hit a jumper, giving IC a 49-38 advantage.

Vassar closed out the quarter on a 5-0 run behind a 3-pointer from Cenan and two free throws from Sophie Nick to cut the Bombers' lead down to 51-45 with one quarter remaining.

After the Brewers cut IC's lead to just two points in the first minute of the fourth quarter, IC went on to build up a 13-point lead, the biggest of the game. O'Reilly, Yawman and Volpe each hit a layup before O'Reilly capped off the run with a 3-pointer at 5:45.

The Bombers continued to hold a lead for the rest of the game, never letting the Brewers come closer than a nine-point gap. Five straight points in the final minute sealed the deal for the Bombers en route to the 11-point win.

The Bombers shot a whopping 71.4 percent from behind the arc, going 5-for-7 from 3-point range. Ithaca also forced 16 Vassar turnovers, leading to 13 points.

Two Vassar players reached double-digits as Cenan scored a team-high 17 and Nick finished with 15.

Ithaca is now 3-3 on the season and 2-0 in Liberty League play as it heads into the final game of the 2019 slate. The Bombers will travel to Rochester on Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. game against the Yellowjackets.
