ORANGE, Calif. – The Ithaca College baseball team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday afternoon by Chapman University, 23-1, at W.O. Hart Park in Orange, Calif. Ithaca is now 4-3 on the season with three games remaining on the West Coast, while Chapman improves to 14-6.
Chapman jumped on Ithaca early with four runs in the bottom of the first inning on five hits. The Panthers led off with a double and bunt single, and then a sacrifice fly brought in the first run of the game. The bases were then loaded on a hit by pitch and single, and another run came home on a fielder's choice. A two-run single ensued to cap off the inning.
The Bombers' deficit grew to 9-0 after the second inning as Chapman plated five more runs, including four with two outs. Chapman continued to pour it on from there and mounted a 23-0 lead by the sixth inning.

Cam Fuoti got Ithaca on the board in the top of the seventh with an RBI single to bring home junior
Domenic Boresta. Fuoti went 1-for-2 in the game, while Boresta was 1-for-1 in a pinch hit appearance.

Adam Gallagher recorded two hits in the contest, while senior
Ryan Henchey and sophomore
John Peterson both doubled.
