ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's soccer team fell to Bard, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Bombers fall to 3-8 overall and 0-4 in the Liberty League. The Raptors improve to 7-4 overall with a 1-3 conference slate.

The lone goal of the game was scored in the 32
nd minute of play by Bard's Katie Hopper, assisted by Caroline Gluck and Avalon Qian. The shot was fired from 25 yards out and bounced off the bottom of the crossbar to give the Raptors and 1-0 lead, which would hold until the end of the game.

Statistically, the Bombers outshot Bard 17-8 and earned eight more corners than the Raptors. Twelve of Ithaca's shots were taken in the second half.

Ithaca got off its first shot on the game just 1:50 in, but the
Shannon McMillan try was blocked by a Bard defender.

The Bombers made a push in the 21
st minute, attempting two shots in 30 seconds. A
Reid Garner shot went wide before a
Shoshana Bedrosian shot was saved by Bard goalie Tessa Greenhalgh.

Ithaca controlled things offensively to open up the second half. In the 50
th minute, a
Sarah Pirnie shot was blocked by a Bard defender.

The Bombers earned a corner in the 52
nd minute but Mackensie Galusha's shot was saved by Greehalgh. Less than three minutes later, a
Mackenzie Hinchliffe shot sailed wide of the goal.

Ithaca continued to produce offense and attempt to tie things up as the second half went on.

Within six minutes of play, the Bombers tallied five corners and three shots. Shots from Garner and
Kristyn Alonzo each went wide before a
Caroline Matos shot was blocked by a Bard defender.

In the 77
th minute, the Bombers earned two corners in a row, which resulted in a
Kendall Cirella shot, but the attempt was saved by Greenhalgh. A few seconds later, Ithaca recorded another corner kick but Alonzo's header sailed wide.

The Bombers added four more shots to close out the game, including a pair of headers from
Kate Kohler and
Sam Robinson, which were both saved by Greenhalgh.

Emma Fruhling finished with two saves on the day while Greenhalgh notched five. Fruhling was tested in the ninth and 14
th minutes and both times came up with the saves.

The Bombers are back in action Friday, October 13 against Skidmore at 4 p.m. They host Union the following day at 2 p.m.
