SCRANTON, Pa. – For the second time in the last three games, the Ithaca College men's soccer team battled into overtime but could not find the back of the net as the Bombers fell to the University of Scranton in the second extra period on Wednesday. The Royals notched the difference maker in the 110th minute as Ithaca fell, 1-0.
The loss moves the Bombers' season record to 1-4-1, while Scranton climbs to 3-3 overall.
Ithaca, which was held to five shots throughout the contest, held the Royals scoreless until the final minute of play after the Bombers'defense rappelled Scranton's attack at every turn.
Zach Jacobsen (1-4-1) stood strong in goal for Ithaca but was credited with the loss after making a season-high eight saves.

Matt Bukowski each took one shot for Ithaca.
The Bombers will return to action at 3 p.m. on Saturday when they host St. John Fisher at Carp Wood Field in an Empire 8 conference pairing.
