GENESEO, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team had its five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday afternoon at SUNY Geneseo by a 3-2 overtime score in inclement conditions. With the loss, Ithaca is now 11-4 on the season and has one more game left on its regular season schedule – Brockport for Senior Day on Saturday at noon.
The Bombers fell behind, 2-0, in the first half, as Geneseo netted both goals in the final 5:12 of the frame. Geneseo's first goal came off a penalty corner at the 29:48 mark and then the Knights put in another tally just 3:04 later on another corner.

Colleen Keegan-Twombly in the 46th minute off a penalty corner rebound that was sent in by classmate
Cassie Schuttrumpf. Keegan-Twombly now has scored 13 goals this season, including a string for seven consecutive games in which she has netted nine goals.
Exactly four minutes before the end of regulation, senior
Caitlin O'Brien knotted the contest at 2-2 off an assist from junior
Lauren Delia that started on the fourth penalty corner score of the showdown.
Geneseo ended the game just 4:46 into overtime on the second goal of the day by Giovanna Fasanello.

Katie Lass suffered the loss in goal and made six saves, including five in the first half.
Ithaca was outshot in the game, 17-15, and took 13 corners to 16 for the Knights.
After Saturday's Senior Day contest against Brockport at noon, the Bombers will host the Empire 8 Conference Championship on Nov. 6-7. Ithaca plays at 3 p.m. on the 6th against a team still to be determined, and if victorious, will move on to the championship contest at 4 p.m. on the 7th.
