ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College field hockey team recorded a 5-0 shutout victory over SUNY Brockport on Senior Day at Higgins Stadium Saturday afternoon. With the win, Ithaca finishes the regular season with a 12-4 record, while Brockport falls to 2-16.
The Bombers earned their first corner, and scoring chance of the game with just under 29 minutes remaining in the first half. Junior
Cassie Schuttrumpf was able to take a shot from a few yards out, but a Brockport defender was there to make a defensive save.
With 23:27 left in the half, Ithaca put in the first goal of the contest off a deflection by sophomore
Michaela Donohue. Junior
Lauren Delia sent in the initial shot from the top of the zone and Donohue re-directed the attempt for her seventh goal of the season.

Cassie Schuttrumpf to stake the Bombers to a 2-0 lead.Â
Ithaca's lead grew to 3-0 with 14:25 left on the clock on the second tally of the year by freshman
Maria McGloin. Fellow freshman
Kaylou Stoddard found McGloin for her first collegiate point.

Caitlin O'Brien on a penalty corner attempt with 8:09 to go.
Ithaca's final score of the game came with 16:10 left in regulation on the second goal from Donohue. Senior
Laurel Shnider sent in a long pass through the zone where Donohue was waiting to tip the ball into the net. The assist for Shnider was the first of her career.
Junior
Katie Lass was forced to make just two saves in the victory. Lass has now shutout the opposition on seven different occasions.
The Bombers outshot Brockport, 19-3, and were awarded 10 corners to four for the Golden Eagles.
Ithaca returns to Higgins Stadium next weekend, Nov. 6 and 7, for the Empire 8 Conference Tournament. Â The Bombers will play their semifinal contest at 3 p.m. on the 6th against Washington & Jefferson. St. John Fisher and Stevens make up the other semifinal and will play at 6 p.m. The two winners will play for an automatic bid to the NCAA Championships at 4 p.m. on the 7th.
