Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team held the nationally-ranked Skidmore College Thoroughbreds scoreless but was unable to score the go-ahead goal as the Bombers earned a scoreless draw on Sunday at Wachenheim Field.
With the tie, Ithaca moves to 4-7-2 on the season while the No. 22 Thoroughbreds go to 9-2-1 overall.
The Bombers looked sharp on the defensive end of the field, with junior goalie
Zach Jacobsen coming up with 10 big saves in net including two in overtime.
Ithaca had two scoring opportunities late in the overtime periods, but was unable to notch the game winner before time expired.
Ithaca will be back in action at 12 p.m. on Saturday when it hosts Elmira College in an Empire 8 contest at Carp Wood Field. The Bombers will be celebrating senior day prior to kickoff.
