Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team lost a close game to Stevens Saturday afternoon, as the Bombers dropped a 1-0 decision at Carp Wood Field. Ithaca is now 1-5-1 overall, including a mark of 1-1-0 in the Empire 8.

Jordan Gentile made four saves on five Stevens' shots. The Bombers earned more corner kicks in the match, taking seven compared to Stevens' five.

Strong defensive play from both teams carried a 0-0 draw to the half, with the Ducks holding a 6-3 shot advantage. Stevens scored the only goal of the contest in the 82nd minute, as the Ducks converted on a header in the box to take a 1-0 lead.

The Bombers responded with a flurry of pressure in the final 10 minutes, including two consecutive shots from sophomore
Sean Forward that were blocked in the box. Ithaca earned a corner kick in the closing minutes, but Stevens stifled the attack to take the 1-0 victory.

The Bombers hit the road for their next contest, a non-conference matchup with Hobart on Sept. 30. The game is set to start at 4:30 p.m.
