Box Score ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team defeated Alfred Saturday afternoon, dropping the Saxons by a score of 3-1 at Carp Wood Field. The win improves Ithaca's record to 1-3-1, with a record of 1-0-0 in the Empire 8.

Jordan Gentile made two saves on three Saxon shots for his first win of the season.
The Bombers scored the first goal of the contest at 28:34 to take the 1-0 lead. Williamson collected a deflected pass from sophomore
Cobi Byrne towards midfield, before converting on a breakaway for his second goal of the season.
Alfred got on the board in the 35th minute, tying the contest on a long shot that deflected off an Ithaca defender. The Saxons' goal marked the final tally of the half, sending the game to the break tied at 1-1.
The Bombers finally broke the stalemate in the 71st minute. After a block on a shot attempt from Forward, the ball deflected towards the far side of the box. Filipowich capitalized, taking possession and scoring his first of the year for the 2-1 advantage.
Glass added an insurance marker at 86:31, scoring on a rebound from shot taken by Filipowich on a partial breakaway. Glass' goal marked his first of the season, and secured Ithaca's 3-1 victory.
The Bombers return to Carp Wood Field for their next contest, as Ithaca battles Scranton on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The match is set to start at 4 p.m.Â
