Ithaca Secures Double OT Win Over St. John Fisher

Box Score
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's soccer team dropped St. John Fisher on Saturday afternoon, handing the Cardinals a 1-0 double overtime defeat at Growney Stadium. The victory pushed the Bombers' overall mark to 4-6-2, and their Empire 8 record to 4-1-0.

Senior Casey Williamson, who led the game with three shots, secured his fourth goal of the season and first game-winner, while senior goalkeeper Jordan Gentile did not need to make a single save in 105 minutes of play en route to his second shutout of the 2014 campaign. The Bombers held the advantage in shots, recording 15 to the Cardinals' nine, and also held an 8-to-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Bombers peppered the Cardinals' throughout regulation, including a 10-shot second half, four of which were on target. After a scoreless 90 minutes of play, the contest went to overtime tied at 0-0.

With the battle five minutes away from ending in a draw, the Bombers were finally able to get past the St. John Fisher goalkeeper, as junior Joseph Dobbins connected with Williams who sped down the left side and ripped a shot to the far post for the game-winning tally to secure the victory. The assist was Dobbins' second of the season.

The Bombers welcome Houghton to Carp Wood Field on Oct. 25 for a 1:30 p.m. kick off.
