ONEONTA, N.Y. – The 24th-ranked Ithaca College women's basketball team (23-2) travels to Hartwick for the Empire 8 Championship Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 22-23. The top-seeded Bombers will face the fourth-seeded St. John Fisher Cardinals in a semifinal game at 6 p.m. Friday.
The other semifinal features the second-seeded Hawks and third-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology. The winners of the semifinal games will play for the Empire 8 crown at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Bombers claimed their fifth straight Empire 8 regular-season title this season with a 13-1 record in league play. Ithaca enters the semifinal on a 10-game winning streak and one win shy of tying the school record of 24 wins set in the 2011-12 season.

Dan Raymond earned Empire 8 year-end awards announced Thursday. Junior
Kathryn Campbell was named to the All-Empire 8 First Team, senior
Devin Shea earned second-team nods and junior
Jenn Escobido tallied honorable mention praise.
Ithaca ranks atop the
NCAA East Region Rankings for the 2012-13 season. The NCAA regional rankings, which were released Wednesday, are based on the same criteria used to select and seed teams for the NCAA playoffs.
