SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College women's basketball team (2-0) defeated host Skidmore (0-2) 76-50 on Saturday evening on day two of the Skidmore Invitational.

Kathryn Campbell put up a game-best 23 points to be named MVP of the tournament, while sophomore
Geena Brady earned All-Tournament Team nods.

Ally Mnich came off the bench to tally a career-high 13 points and senior
Devin Shea chipped in 10. Campbell and Mnich each swiped three steals each.
The Bombers recorded 38 points in both halves to improve to 2-0 on the season. Ithaca shot 51.7 percent from the floor to the Thoroughbreds' 39.1 percent and held a 32-24 advantage in rebounds.
Ithaca opened action with five straight points, but Skidmore came back to knot play 7-7 at 16:36. The Thoroughbreds went on to claim their lone lead of the game at 15:09 with a 12-11 edge. The Bombers pieced together six straight for a 23-15 lead at 11:10. Skidmore rewrote its eight-point deficit to cut within two at the seven-minute mark, but that's as close as they would get as Ithaca posted a 38-33 advantage at intermission.
The Bombers sparked in the second stint, holding Skidmore to just 17 second-half points. Ithaca took a double-digit lead five minutes into play, one they would never surrender. Ithaca used a 15-2 streak to hold the Thoroughbreds to just two points over a seven-minute span. The Blue & Gold twice led by 28 points late in the game before the score was finalized at 76-50.
The Bombers will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Cortland at 6 p.m.
