ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca men's soccer team (7-5-4, 3-2-1 Empire 8) yielded a goal in each half and fell 2-0 to No. 6 Stevens Institute of Technology (15-2-0, 6-0-0 Empire 8) on Saturday afternoon at Carp Wood Field in Ithaca.
The visiting Ducks took the lead in the 34th minute and added an insurance goal with 19 minutes remaining in the second half to maintain their perfect conference record. Stevens will be the top seed for the conference championship tournament next weekend. Ithaca will be the third seed and has a semifinal game at second-place St. John Fisher on Friday, at a time to be determined.
Ithaca totaled nine shots in the game, while Stevens had just six. The Bombers also held a 4-0 advantage in corner kicks. Bomber goalkeeper
