RIT Blanks Ithaca Men's Soccer

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca men's soccer team (7-4-4) dropped a 3-0 loss to Rochester Institute of Technology (9-6-1) Wednesday afternoon at Carp Wood Field. RIT scored two goals early in the first half and tallied a third goal in the second half.

RIT led in shots 14-7 and held a slight 3-2 advantage corner kicks.

Freshman goalkeeper Kenny Chapman recorded one save in the first half, and senior goalkeeper Jordan Gentile also recorded one save in the second half.

Ithaca concludes its 2012 regular season at Carp Wood Field against Stevens Institute of Technology on Saturday at 1 p.m. It is the final Empire 8 contest of the season and will determine the Bombers' seed for the conference tournament, which begins Nov. 2 at two semifinal sites.
