ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca women's and men's swimming & diving teams opened their 2012-13 campaigns with a home meet Saturday against Brockport at the Athletics & Events Center Aquatics Pavilion. Ithaca's women's team won 200-92 and the Bomber men were victorious by a score of 208-67. Ithaca swimmers and divers placed first in all 32 events that were contested, although the last four events were completed in exhibition and didn't count toward the team scoring. Both teams return to action Oct. 27 at home against Rensselaer.
WOMEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING – Ithaca 200, Brockport 92
Elizabeth Gawrys was part of three individual event wins and swam on the victorious 200-yard freestyle relay. Gawrys won the sprint freestyle events, completing the sweep of the 50-yard freestyle (25.54 seconds), the 100 free (55.76 seconds) and 200 free (2:02.67).
Shelby Pascoe won the distance freestyle events. She touched first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:23.42 and later won the 500 free in 5:35.92.
Megan Buisman won the backstroke events. She won the 50-yard back in 29.48 seconds and the 100 back in 1:02.56.
Madi Sherry won the 50-yard breaststroke in 32.09 seconds and the 100 breast in 1:11.20.
Carly Jones won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.03 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:16.41 swimming in exhibition.
Diver
Korie Fackler won both events. She was first in the 1-meter with a score of 225.90 and the 3-meter with a total of 248.40.
Ithaca opened the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:53.83 as
Kylie Bangs, Sherry, Jones and
Anna Gress took first place.
MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING – Ithaca 208, Brockport 67
Three Bomber men posted multiple-event wins in individual events to lead the way for Ithaca.
Clement Towner won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.39 and the 500 free in 4:55.82.
Connor White placed first in the 50-yard backstroke in 25.11 seconds and the 50-yard butterfly in 24.14 seconds.
Jake Robbins won both breaststroke events. He clocked in at 27.87 seconds in the 50-yard event and 1:02.42 in the 100-yard distance.
Diver
Martin Brown competed unopposed and scored 246.75 on the 3-meter board and 253.05 on 1-meter.
Other individual event winners included freshman

Adam Zelehowsky (100-yard freestyle) and freshman
Addison Hebert (200-yard individual medley).
Ben Kennedy (100 back),

Ithaca won both relay events with a time of 1:40.58 in the 200-yard medley relay and a time of 1:29.89 in exhibition in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
