Biography

2012-13: Robbins was named a College Swimming Coaches Association First Team Scholar All-America selection, making him one of five Bombers to earn the honor. He won the UNYSCSA title as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay team, also earning an All-Empire 8 First Team selection. Robbins also earned all-state honors after finishing sixth in the 50-yard freestyle, eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke, eighth in the 100-yard freestyle and third in the 400-yard freestyle relay. 

2011-12: Robbins made his first trip to the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships and earned his first-career all-America finish by placing 13th in the 200-yard freestyle relay. He was a five-time all-state honoree including a UNYSCSA champion in the 200-yard medley relay. His efforts on the 200 medley and 200 free relays helped those teams win Empire 8 championships. He moved into a tie for seventh all-time at Ithaca in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.04 seconds.

2010-11: As a sophomore, Robbins added five all-state finishes and three all-conference honors including the UNYSCSA and Empire 8 title in 200-yard medley relay. INdividually, he placed foruth in the state in the 50-yard freestyle and sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke.

2009-10: Robbins earned four all-state honors as a freshman, including as part of Ithaca's 200-yard medley relay team, which also was second in the Empire 8. Robbins placed sixth in the state meet with a time of 21.71 second in the 50-yard freestyle, and was on Ithaca's 400-yard freestyle relay (third place) and 200-yard freestyle relay (fourth place) at the state championships. He swam sprint freestyle events.

High School: A 2009 graduate of Fairport High School, Robbins swam for coach Mike Kennedy, earning three varsity letters. He was a sectional champion in the 200-yard medley relay, a team captain and a member of the All-Greater Rochester team during his career as a high school swimmer. He also was a member of the high school crew under coach Carla Reidy. In addition to earning three varsity letters, he lettered three straight years as part of three state championship teams.

Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of Lisa and Dave Robbins.
