First-Half Goal By RIT Beats Men's Soccer

Box Score Rochester, N.Y. - The Ithaca men's soccer team (4-8-1) yielded a goal in the 29th minute at RIT (10-5-2) and that accounted for the final score in a 1-0 Tiger victory Wednesday afternoon at RIT Field.The Bombers wrap up the regular season Saturday at home at 2 p.m. against Elmira.

Ithaca recorded eight shots in the game, as three different players had two shots each. Junior goalkeeper Jack Van Adelsberg (Lower Merion/Bala Cynwyd, Pa.) had five saves in the match.

Ithaca has already clinched an Empire 8 playoff spot and currently stands in third place in the league. A win or tie against Elmira at Carp Wood Field will clinch third place, while a Bomber loss Saturday would make Ithaca the fourth seed.
