ITHACA, N.Y. -- The women's basketball team (7-5, 3-0 Empire 8) remained atop the Empire 8 standings, hammering Alfred (4-6, 0-2 Empire 8) 93-42 Friday. Junior guard
Riley Dunn (Central Catholic/Bradford, Mass.) scored a career-high 17 points and the Bombers forced 31 Saxon turnovers.
The Bombers held Alfred to 26.4 percent shooting from the floor and didn't give up a point in the first five minutes of either half. The Saxons made just 14 baskets and their 31 turnovers (including a pair of shot-clock violations) led to 36 Ithaca points.
All 13 Bombers who played scored at least two points, led by
Dunn, who made four second-half three-point baskets and finished with career-high totals of three steals and two assists as well. Senior

Elissa Klie (Ramapo/Wyckoff, N.J.) and sophomore center
Devin Shea (St. Basil Academy/Huntingdon, Pa.) adding 10 points apiece.
The Bombers scored the game's first 11 points and after a 13-5 Saxon run cut their lead to five, they ran off 17 of the next 19 points to take control for good. A 16-0 run opened the second half for Ithaca.
