Rochester, N.Y. -- The women's basketball team (14-5, 10-0 Empire 8) opened up a 2.5-game lead in the Empire 8 standings, topping host Rochester Institute of Technology (3-15, 1-8 Empire 8) 76-60 Saturday.
Junior guard
Riley Dunn (Central Catholic/Bradford, Mass.) led four Bombers in double-figure scoring, netting 16 points in just 17 minutes of play, and freshman guard Jennifer Escobido
(Norwich Free Academy/Lisbon, Conn.) recorded her first career double-double, finishing with 13 points and a career-best 10 rebounds.
Senior guard
Jane DeBiasse (Chatham/Chatham, N.J.) and junior guard
Jessica Farley (Pine Valley Central/South Dayton) contributed 13 and 10 rebounds, respectively while playing less than 20 minutes apiece.
Senior forward
Elissa Klie (Ramapo/Wyckoff, N.J.) finished with nine rebounds, three steals, three assists and two blocked shots. Sophomore center
Devin Shea (St. Basil Academy/Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) pulled down eight rebounds and blocked three shots.
The Bombers are now 43-2 all-time against RIT, winning 32 of the last 33 meetings.
Ithaca is idle until hosting Utica Saturday.
