Clinton, N.Y.--Third-ranked Hamilton (11-0) snapped Ithaca's five-game winning streak with a 15-3 win Wednesday afternoon. Seniors Lauren Fitzgerald (William H. Hall/West Hartford, Conn.) and Kylie McClure (Upper Arlington/Columbus, Ohio) and freshman Nicole Borisenok (Albany Academy for Girls/Watervliet) netted goals for the Bombers (6-4).
Entering midway through the first half, freshman goalkeeper Jess Worthman (Hauppauge/Commack) recorded 12 saves in goal, a new career high.
Sophomore Siobhan Sullivan (Franklin/Franklin, Mass.) led the Bombers with two caused turnovers. She was tied for the team lead in ground balls with junior Ali DeCirce (Binghamton/Binghamton); each picked up three.
Freshman Michelle Avery (Brien McMahon/Norwalk, Conn.) won a two draw controls.
Ithaca returns to action Friday, when they host Empire 8 opponent Alfred. The conference-leading Bombers can clinch a berth in the Empire 8 playoffs with a win over the Saxons.
