Ithaca Men's Lacrosse Drops Game to FDU-Florham

Tom Mongelli scored one of Ithaca's seven goals

San Diego, Calif. - The Ithaca men's lacrosse team (1-4) lost 12-7 Wednesday afternoon in a neutral site game to Farleigh Dickinson-Florham in California during the team's spring training trip.

Sophomore attackman Devin Weinshank (Long Beach/Long Beach) led Ithaca with two goals and has a team-high 11 goals on the year.

The Bombers scored all seven of their goals in the second half. Starting goalie David Gal (Loomis Chaffee/Amherst, Mass.) made four saves and sophomore goalkeeper Brendan Green (Pittsford Mendon/Pittsford) had six saves. Senior midfielder Nic Heckman (Sparta/Sparta, N.J.) had a goal and an assist.

The other Ithaca goals were scored by sophomore Tom Mongelli (Kinnelon/Kinnelon, N.J.), junior Kevin Ferris (Onondaga/Marcellus), sophomore Andrew Bruce (De La Salle/Lafayette, Calif.) and freshman James Callahan (Mountain Lakes/Mountain Lakes, N.J.). It was Callahan's first career goal.

Ithaca returns to action March 24 at Oneonta.
