Clifton Park, N.Y. – Stepping up two divisions in competition, the Bomber wrestling team (17-1) split two matches with Division I opponents Sunday, beating Boston University 28-6 and losing 35-3 to Binghamton. Ithaca has already set a school record for wins in a season and only one Division III team has won more dual matches this winter.

Senior Chad Winowich (Abington Heights/Clarks Summit, Pa.), ranked third at 133 pounds, improved to 24-5 overall with a pair of victories, including Ithaca's only win against Binghamton. He's now 91-37 in his career and became the 25th Bomber to reach 90 career wins.

Junior Blaine Woszczak (Wall/Manasquan, N.J.), the nation's top-ranked wrestler at 174 pounds, raised his record to 29-5 with his team-best 10th major decision of the season. Woszczak is 93-30 in his career and ranks 20th on Ithaca's all-time wins list.

Wrestling at 141 pounds, sophomore Jeremy Stierly (Owen J. Roberts/Pottstown, Pa.) split a pair of matches and is now 25-4 this season and 44-14 overall as a Bomber. Stierly is ranked seventh nationally.

Junior David Priest (Wyomissing/Douglassville, Pa.), who's ranked seventh at 174 pounds, won his 21st bout of the season (against five losses) and is 74-24 in his three-year career.

Four other Bombers were winners in the victory over Boston University: senior Dave Sbriscia (Warren Hills/Stewartsville, N.J.), who's now 10-4 this year and 62-35 in his career, at 197 pounds; senior heavyweight Joe Goetz (New Hyde Park Memorial/New Hyde Park), who's 9-5 on the year and 55-36 overall; senior John Dale (North Penn/Lansdale, Pa.), wrestling at 165 pounds, improved to 13-11 this year and 47-38 in his career; and freshman Josue Mendez (Brentwood/Brentwood), who won by forfeit at 184 pounds.

Ithaca returns to Division III competition Wednesday, wrestling at Oneonta.
