Men's Soccer Falls in OT

Pittsford, N.Y. - St. John Fisher (1-6-2, 1-1-0 Empire 8) scored the game's only goal 4:30 into overtime in a 1-0 victory over Ithaca (1-5-3, 0-2-0 Empire 8) in men's soccer Saturday evening at Growney Stadium.

Ithaca recorded 13 shots in the game, led by sophomore forward Max Grigri (Gateway Regional/Wenonah, N.J.) with four shots. Senior midfielder Jeff Geyer (Rham/Hebron, Conn.) had three shots.

Senior goalkeeper Justin Parlapiano (Stafford/Stafford Springs, Conn.) started and played the first half, and made six saves. Junior goalkeeper Evan Kirshner (Haverford/Bryn Mawr, Pa.) played the second half and overtime, and made two saves.

The Bombers are back in action Sunday evening at Alfred.
