Elmira, N.Y.--The Bombers (6-4, 2-0 Empire 8) trounced Elmira (0-10, 0-3 Empire 8) 81-53 Monday night. Senior Lindsay Brown (Immaculate/Danbury, Conn.) scored a career-high 23 points in the win. Juniors Elissa Klie (Ramapo/Wyckoof, N.J.) and Blaire Moldenhauer (Albany R III/Albany, Mo.) and sophomore Riley Dunn (Central Catholic/Bradford, Mass.) joined her in double digits in scoring.

Brown's total matched her output against Rochester Institute of Technology in Jan. 2008. Against the Soaring Eagles, she was 8-of-13 from the field, and made three three-point field goals. Brown also had three of the Bombers' 11 steals, and picked up six rebounds and a block.

Moldenhauer led all players with 13 rebounds and added 12 points. Both figures were career-highs in her first career double-double. Dunn and Klie each chipped in 11 points.

Ithaca controlled the boards in the win, winning the rebound battle by a margin of 50-30. In addition to Moldenhauer's 13 rebounds, Dunn and junior Jordan Confessore (South Brunswick/Kendall Park, N.J.) each grabbed seven caroms.

Each team opened the contest with a run, with the Bombers scoring the game's first nine points before the Soaring Eagles scored 11 straight to go up two. A jumper from freshman Devin Shea (St. Basil Academy/Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) put Ithaca up 14-13, a lead they would not relinquish.

Elmira was within three points with seven minutes to play in the half before a 16-5 Ithaca run to close the half put the Bombers up 46-32.

The Bombers increased their lead to 20 points shortly into the second half and did not lead by fewer than 16 for the remainder of the game.

Ithaca returns home Friday with a 6 p.m. matchup with Empire 8 opponent Nazareth.
