Men's Soccer Falls to RIT in Second Overtime

Justin Wu scored the first goal of his career.

Rochester, N.Y. – Ithaca's men's soccer team (4-3-2, 1-1-0 Empire 8) fell to conference rival R.I.T. (3-6-1, 1-1-0 Empire 8) by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Bombers tied the game early in the second half but surrendered a goal in the game's 107th minute.

Senior Justin Wu (Phillips Academy/Concord, Mass.) scored Ithaca's only goal of the game in the 51st minute. It was the first goal of his career. Senior Gerard Lewis (Scotia-Glenville/Scotia) tallied his second assist of the season.

Junior Fernando Casanova (Loyola/Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) had three of Ithaca's five shots on goal including one in the second overtime.

In goal, junior Justin Parlapiano (Stafford/Stafford Springs, Conn.) made three saves in the effort.

Ithaca will be back in action on Sunday at noon as it visits Nazareth for another Empire 8 contest.
