Women's Soccer Records Fourth Straight Shutout

Freshman Megan Trager tallied her first career point with an assist.

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.– The #25 Bombers (7-1-1) defeated Skidmore 2-0 in a non-league contest for their sixth straight victory. Ithaca has shut out its last four opponents and five of its last six and has allowed only one goal in that span.

Junior forward Amy Scheffer (Schenectady/Schalmont) scored her fifth goal of the season to give Ithaca the first-half lead. Less than three minutes later junior forward Winnie Adrien (Blairstown Academy/Blair, N.J.) recorded her eighth of the season and became the team leader with 20 points. Both Scheffer and Adrien have scored points in Ithaca's last six games.

Junior midfielder Emily Mogk (Bozeman/Bozeman, Mont.) assisted on Scheffer's goal and freshman midfielder Megan Trager (Sharon/Sharon, Mass.) registered her first career point with the assist on Adrien's goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Alyssa Sotomayor (East Brunswick/East Brunswick, N.J.) played all 90 minutes in net and recorded seven saves in her fourth shutout of the season.

Ithaca hosts Elmira for an Empire 8 contest at noon on Saturday.
