Geneva, N.Y. -- The Ithaca men's soccer team (7-2-2) tied sixth-ranked Hobart (12-0-2) Wednesday. The game was called after one overtime due to darkness. Ithaca is just the second team to tie Hobart this season.
The Bombers took 11 shots. Senior forward
John Tarson (Philips Academy/Acton Mass.) had the best scoring opportunity.
Tarson took a shot from the top of the box with 16 seconds left in overtime, but the shot was saved.
Senior goalkeeper
Andy Wilhelm (Centennial/Ellicott City, Md.) became the second goalkeeper to prevent Hobart from scoring this season. He made eight saves in the contest.
Hobart held a narrow 13-11 edge in shots in the match, and committed eight fouls to just four for Ithaca.
The Bombers begin a three-game set of Empire 8 matches Saturday when they play at Alfred at 1 p.m.
