Rochester, N.Y. – The men’s tennis team even its record at 101 on the season after defeating Rochester Institute of Technology, 7-0, in the consolation bracket of the Flower City Tournament. Sophomore
Taylor Borda (West Morris-Mendham/Chester, N.J.) was one of four double winners for the Bombers.
Borda was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at first singles and team with sophomore
Danny Wolk (The Field School/Potomac, Md.) for an 8-5 victory at second doubles.
Wolk was also a 6-1, 6-1 winner at fourth singles. Senior
Jeff Buffum (Morristown/ Morristown, N.J.) and sophomore
Liam Berkowitz (Pleasantville/Pleasantville) were 8-4 winners at third doubles.
Freshman
Alex Stoler (Pascack Valley/River Vale, N.J.) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at second singles, while classmate John Rifkin
(Homestead/Ft. Wayne, ind.) was a 7-6 (3), 6-1 winner at third singles.
Rifkin and
Stoler also teamed for an 8-3 victory at first doubles.
Ithaca will next face Hobart in the consolation bracket final at 9 a.m.
