Fall 2007: Buffum went 4-4 this fall, winning two doubles matches and two singles matches. He won at sixth singles and third doubles in Ithaca’s win over RIT at the Flower City Invitational.
2006-07: Buffum won 17 matches as a junior, posting a 9-10 singles record. Buffum recorded a 7-1 mark in postseason play, winning five of his six matches in the Empire 8 Tournament. He was also Ithaca’s only double winner in the Bombers’ NCAA Tournament match against Southern Maine, winning at third doubles and winning in straight sets at sixth singles.
2005-06: Buffum was 16-16 as a sophomore, recording a 9-7 singles record and a 7-9 doubles record. He recorded doubles and singles wins against Utica, St. John Fisher and Nazareth in the Empire 8 championship tournament and was named a second-team conference all-star in doubles play. Buffum went 1-1 overall during the fall season, recording a victory over Division II Mercyhurst at sixth singles.
2004-05: Buffum competed primarily at fifth singles and third doubles, posting an overall record of 21-23 in his rookie campaign. He won his first career singles match over Hobart, recording Ithaca’s only singles victory. He recorded singles and doubles wins over RIT in the Empire 8 championship match, as well as a doubles win over Nazareth in the semifinals and a singles win against Elmira in the quarterfinals.
High School: Buffum was a two-year letter winner in tennis at Morristown High School. He was named second team all-area his senior season.
Personal: The son of George and Diana Buffum, he is a business administration major.
