Ithaca, N.Y. -- Senior Tom O’Connor (Weedsport/Weedsport) retired 25 of the last 26 batters after allowing a first-inning unearned run as the Bombers won their home opener, beating Oswego 6-1. O’Connor allowed three hits and struck out five in throwing his second straight complete game. Freshman Rob Raux (Ilion/Frankfort) drove in four runs, hitting a single, double and triple. Freshman third baseman Josh Smith (Pulaski/Pulaski) collected three hits and senior second baseman Marty O’Boyle (Verona/Verona, N.J.) singled twice and scored three runs.
