TROY, N.Y. - The men’s swimming and diving team lost its season opener at Rensselaer Saturday afternoon 145-95.

 

The Bombers were led by freshman Mike Ariel (Xavarian Brothers/Norwood, Mass.), who posted victories in the 200- (1:49.19) and 500-yard (5:03.28) freestyle events. Junior Mark Tedeschi (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) was the winner of the 200-yard breaststroke (2:16.89), while sophomore Matt Olko (Rye/Harrison) placed first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.21).

 

Ithaca is back in action next Saturday, hosting Cortland at Hill Center Pool.
