Sophomore quarterback Josh Felicetti (Central Bucks East/Doylestown, Pa.) threw for two touchdowns and reached the 2,000-yard mark for his career, but the 14th-ranked Bombers lost to #21 Springfield, 51-22. The Pride, who scored 28 points in the final 13 minutes, recorded touchdowns off four Bomber turnovers. Felicetti, who became the fifth Bomber to throw for 2,000 career yards and reached the mark in his 12th game, threw for 219 yards, completing 21 passes (matching a career-high). He threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to junior Jeff Welch (Ithaca/Ithaca) to open the game's scoring and completed a five-yard pass to junior tight end Vince Dargush (Amsterdam/Amsterdam) in the fourth quarter. Senior Caleb Greer-Carney (Concord/Cushing Academy [Mass.]/Concord, N.H.) scored his first touchdown of the season on a one-yard run in the third quarter. That score pulled the Bombers to within eight points, but Springfield scored on four of its next five drives to put the game away. Welch posted career-best totals of nine catches for 121 yards. Sophomore wide receiver Justin Esposito (Fayetteville-Manlius/Manlius) caught five passes for 35 yards and junior fullback Jamie Free (The Gunnery School/Brookfield, Conn.) made three receptions for 43 yards. Senior Pete Celebre (Strath Haven/Wallingford, Pa.) ran for a team-leading 56 yards on 17 carries. Ithaca's offensive line - senior left tackle Tariq Ahmad (Holmdel/Holmdel, N.J.), sophomore left guard Joe Scalice (North Tonawanda/North Tonawanda), senior center Matt McMahon (Chenango Valley/Binghamton), senior right guard Alex Hill (Bridgton Academy/Gloucester, Mass.) and junior right tackle Chris Swiss (Haddam Killingworth/Higganum, Conn.) - allowed just one sack as the Bombers threw 32 passes. Ahmad also recovered a fumble. Senior middle linebacker Robert Truman (Allegany-Limestone/Allegany) recorded 13 tackles, tying his career high for the second straight week. Sophomore linebacker Dustin Ross (Salamanca/Salamanca) finished with 11 tackles. Senior linebacker Brett Campbell (Oswego/Oswego) collected a career-best 10 tackles. Junior linebacker Lito Gonzalez (Salem/Salem, Mass.), who was making his first career start, made a personal-best five tackles, forced one fumble and recovered another. Junior cornerback Matt Tosh (Abington Heights/Clarks Summit, Pa.) collected his first career sack (just the third given up by Springfield in five games) and forced a fumble. Senior strong safety Jon Edgcomb (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) forced a Springfield fumble and recovered it himself, setting up Ithaca's first score. Truman recovered a fumble in the Bomber end zone, setting up Dargush's touchdown catch. Senior Seth Molisani (Canandaigua Academy/Canandaigua) forced a fumble on the opening kickoff that was recovered by Welch. Senior Paul Colistra (La Salle College/Elkins Park, Pa.) recorded a tackle for a one-yard loss on a Bomber punt. Sophomore Nick Aiello (Allegany-Limestone/Allegany) punted five times, averaging 31.8 yards per kick. Three of his kicks landed inside the Pride 20-yard line. Freshman Brett Kitenplon (Admiral Farragut Academy/Seminole, Fla.) kicked a pair of extra points; the Bombers scored on a two-point conversion following their second touchdown when Felicetti completed a pass to Esposito.
