Sophomore quarterback
Josh Felicetti (Central Bucks East/Doylestown, Pa.) threw for three touchdowns and Ithaca (now ranked 21st nationally) held Brockport scoreless over the game's final 42:56 en route to an upset of the ninth-ranked and previously undefeated Golden Eagles.
Felicetti threw a pair of touchdown passes on consecutive Ithaca possessions as the Bombers erased Brockport's 10-0 lead. He completed a 22-yard pass to sophomore wide receiver
Justin Esposito (Fayetteville-Manlius/Manlius) and an 18-yard pass to junior fullback
Jamie Free (The Gunnery School/Brookfield, Conn.) in a span of 2:13 in the second quarter. Free's touchdown was set up by a 16-yard interception return by senior free safety
Peter Mayer (Hamilton/Hubbardsville).
Esposito added a second touchdown reception, good for four yards in the third quarter; he made the catch while lying in the end zone after the ball had been batted by two Brockport defenders. Freshman
Brett Kitenplon (Admiral Farragut Academy/Seminole, Fla.) kicked a 27-yard field goal on the first play of the fourth quarter. Ithaca's defense held Brockport to 15 yards of total offense the rest of the way and the offense added a final touchdown on a seven-yard run by senior
Caleb Greer-Carney (Concord/Cushing Academy [Mass.]/Concord, N.H.).
Greer-Carney ran for a game-high 92 yards on a career-best 21 carries. Felicetti completed 11 of 18 passes for 149 yards and tied a career-high with his three touchdown passes. Ithaca's defense held Brockport to 162 yards of total offense on 62 plays. The Golden Eagles gained just 49 yards on 39 plays over the final three quarters. Leading the Bomber defense was senior linebacker
Robert Truman (Allegany-Limestone/Allegany), with three tackles for loss, including a nine-yard sack, among his eight tackles. He also recovered a Brockport fumble. Sophomore linebacker
Dustin Ross (Salamanca/Salamanca) made a team-best 12 tackles. Junior defensive tackles
Jeff Kasarjian (Cazenovia/Cazenovia) and
Alex Shafiro (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) each had three tackles for loss and were in on two of Ithaca's six sacks. Junior defensive end
Bryan Steele (Hudson Falls/Hudson Falls) recorded a pair of tackles for loss. Senior cornerback
Seth Molisani (Canandaigua Academy/Canandaigua) intercepted a pass to set up
Greer-Carney's touchdown run. The win was Ithaca's 10th straight at home and snapped a three-year losing streak to the Golden Eagles. Brockport's loss was the program's worst since a 34-10 defeat at the hands of Montclair State in the 2001 season.
