Ithaca College Athletics

Sawyer Hitchcock (Hamilton Southeastern/Fishers Ind.) of the Ithaca College men’s cross country team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October, 4, 2015 after an impressive showing in the Bombers’ lone meet.

Hitchcock finished in seventh place at the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo on Saturday with a final time of 25:20.3.  The senior’s time paced Ithaca for the third consecutive week and was quicker than 527 other competitors.

Hitchcock and the rest of the men’s cross country team will return to action at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the Hamilton College Invitational in Clinton.
