Senior Megan HarringtonĀ earned three All-American honors during the annual National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) national championship meet, held on the campus of The College at Brockport Friday and Saturday.Ā
Harrington, who captured the all-around regional championship, scored a 37.925 to place 10th among all competitors Friday night to earn First-Team All-American honors.
Harrington scored a career-best 9.725 on the floor routine to carry her to an All-American finish. Harrington also scored a 9.475 on the vault, a 9.4 on the uneven bars, and a 9.325 on the balance beam.
SheĀ added to her hardware with a pair of Second-Team All-American honors Saturday on day two of the annual NCGA national championship meet.Ā
Harrington scored a career-high 9.7 on the uneven bars and added a career-best score of 9.6 on the vault to bring home a pair of individual All-American awards during Saturday's event finals.
Harrington tied for ninth on the uneven bars and was 10th on the vault to cement her All-American honors. With Harrington's latest All-American accolades, Ithaca College has produced 86 overall All-Americans, with at least one All-American honor in each of the last 15 seasons.
She becomes the 11th All-American on the vault, and the 21st All-American on the uneven bars in the proud history of Ithaca College gymnastics. Harrington also earned second-team All-American honors in the floor routine as a sophomore.
