Burton led the Bombers to a sweep on the opening weekend of the Empire 8 season, as Ithaca defeated Utica 81-70 and Hartwick 85-46. Against Utica, Burton led the Bombers with 19 points. He connected on four three-pointers, including two crucial shots with under five minutes to play. Burton also recorded nine assists - one shy of his career high - and tied a career-high with six rebounds. In the Hartwick game, Burton led the Bombers in scoring with 23 points. Burton shot 8-of-13 from the floor, including 5-of-7 from beyond the arc.
