Senior Parley Hannan set a new school and facility record in the mile run as she completed the race in 4:54.81, which was nearly a minute faster than the next closest runner. Hannan broke a near seven-year-old school record of 4:54.94 set by Jenn Randall in February 2013 and established a new facility record by more than four seconds. Her time is also the best in Division III this year by nearly 10 seconds, and set a new Liberty League record, which was previously held by Cassia Hamline of St. Lawrence on Feb. 21, 2015 with a time of 4:55.50.
This also marks the second week in a row that Hannan has been named National Athlete of the Week during the indoor season. It is the first time since 2018 that a female athlete has won back-to-back honors (Wadeline Jonathas, UMass Boston). During the cross country season, Hannan earned National Athlete of the Week on Oct. 14 and 21.
