SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's cross country team placed third out of 15 teams Friday at RPI's Saratoga Invitational. The Bombers finished with 114 points on the eight-kilometer course.

Sophomore Stephen Gomez and junior Dennis Ryan led the Bombers with season-best times. Gomez placed 11th out of 170 runners in 26:28.80 and Ryan finished 12th in 26:29.50. Sophomore Sawyer Hitchcock followed in 13th with a 26:31.80 finish.

Senior Samuel Horwath and rookie Shane Connor placed in the top 50. Horwath, a captain, was 41st with a finish of 27:32.10 and Connor placed 47th in 27:38.60.

Freshman Paul Lapre clocked a 27:50.80 finish and sophomore Larkin Bohanan rounded out the Bombers' top seven with a time of 28:12.60 to place 68th.

Ithaca will next race Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Geneseo Invitational.
