2022-23: Jones caps his senior year with a record of 22-8... He had a quality season going 5-1 in duals and 17-7 in tournament competition... Half of Jones' victories were pins., giving him the team lead with 11 on the year. He also collected two major decisions... Jones placed in every individual tournament during the season. He was runner up to his own teammate in the ECWC, took fourth in both the New Standard Invite and the New York State Championships, and took fifth in the Ithaca Invitational... Jones bumped up to 165 for the postseason where he placed 5th at the NCAA Mideast Regional Tournament...Was named an NWCA Scholar All-American.
2019-20: Jones had a monster debut season for the Bombers in 2019-20...He finished the year with a 36-5 overall record, registering a 23-3 mark in tournament-format and a 13-2 mark in dual competition...He ranked among the nation's best in terms of bonus-point wins, racking up five major decisions, 10 technical falls, and 14 falls...He posted place-finishes at all major tournaments he competed in including: Ithaca Invitational, New York State Championships, New Standard Corporation Invite, ECWC Championships, and the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships...He was named Most Outstanding Wrestler at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championship...Jones was an ECWC All-Academic Team achiever, as well as an NWCA Scholar All-American. |
