Biography

2017-18: Nielsen went 6-6 during his sophomore season...He appeared in three events during his year, competing at the Ithaca Invitational, New York State Collegiate Championships, and Jamestown Community College Open...He tallied five bonus point wins, all coming by way of fall. | 2017-18 Stats

2016-17: Nielsen posted an 8-8 record during his freshman campaign, including two victories by decision and one by major decision. | 2016-17 Stats

High School: Attended Arlington High School where he was a two-time All-Section wrestler...Three-time All-League wrestler in Section I...Earned All-State wrestler at the New York championships in 2016...Was the Carl Redl award recipient at his high school...Named most outstanding senior athlete during his final campaign...Also lettered in football. 

Personal: Tanner, the son of Carol and Tim Nielsen, is a physical therapy major.
