2012-13 Stats

2011-12: Amazan posted a 7-8 record in his first season with the Bombers. He earned all-state honors with a seventh-place finish at the all-division New York State Championships. Amazan began his collegiate career by pinning his first opponent at the season-opening Ithaca Invitational. He won three matches – including a major decision – at York’s New Standard Corporation Invitational, helping Ithaca win the team championship.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Uniondale High School, Amazan was coached by Tim Grodoy. He won the 2011 Long Island title and was a four-time all-conference and two-time all-county selection.

Personal: A physics major, he is the son of Jean and Monique Amazan. His brother Junior, a 2011 Ithaca graduate, was a four-year member of the wrestling team.
