Biography

2007-08: Paxos placed third at the ECWC Championships, pinning the number-two seed and beating the fourth seed along the way. He earned all-state honors with a fifth-place showing and was the runner-up at the Williamstown Invitational. Paxos won the 149-pound title at the Jefferson Community College Open.

2006-07: Paxos placed second at the ECWC Championships, beating the #2 seed in overtime and posting a 12-7 decision in the true second-place bout. He went 3-1 at the Budd Whitehill National Duals, winning twice by major decision and once by fall. Paxos posted an opening-round win at the state championships.

2005-06: Paxos missed most of the season with an injury. He pinned his first collegiate opponent at the season-opening Ithaca Invitational and went on to win three more bouts at that event (including a technical fall).

High School: A 2005 graduate of Roxbury High School, Paxos was coached by Jim Dolan. A regional champion, two-time county titlist and three-time district champion, he earned four letters and served as team captain as a senior.

Personal: A business administration major, he is the son of James and Angela Paxos.
