Biography

2008-09: Sbrisca recorded pins in nearly half his victories, accumulating nine falls among 17 victories. He beat the second seed en route to a runner-up finish at the Ithaca Invitational and finished third at the New York State B Championships.

2007-08: Sbrisca missed much of the season with an injury, but returned to the line-up for the state and conference meets. He took third at the ECWC Championships and earned all-state honors with an eighth-place finish at the state meet.

2006-07: Sbrisca was the ECWC runner-up at 197 pounds, topping the second seed in overtime in the semifinals before dropping a 1-0 decision to the top seed in the title bout. He was one of Ithaca’s school-record four all-state freshmen, posting a sixth-place finish at the state meet. He opened his career with a sixth-place finish at the Ithaca Invitational. Sbrisca ranked fourth on the team in takedowns and fifth in points.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Warren Hills High School, Sbrisca was coached by Jerett Horbach. A two-time state qualifier, he won two district titles and placed third once. He was a two-time all-area and three-time all-conference selection, earning first-team honors each time.

Personal: A health and physical education major, he is the son of Duane and Donna Sbrisca.
