Biography

2003: Roth, a second-team AVCA all-American, played in all but one match. She was a first-team AVCA all-region and all-conference selection. She ranks fifth all-time at Ithaca in career digs (1,210), sixth in service aces (198) and eighth in kills (1,339). Her 618 digs is Ithaca’s second-highest single-season total, and her 582 kills ranks fourth-highest in a single season. She ranked first on the team in service
aces (64) for the third straight season. Roth was named MVP at the Brockport Invitational and also earned all-tournament team honors at Moravian and Juniata. She recorded a career-best 28 kills, hitting a season-best .610 along with 28 digs and six blocks, against Rochester at the ECAC championships. She reached double figures in kills 32 times and in digs 35 times, including three 31-dig performances. She recorded 10 service aces, one short of her career-best, including five straight against Alfred. Roth was also an NYSWCAA all-star and Empire 8 player of the week twice.

2002: Roth was named to the Empire 8, NYSWCAA and AVCA New York Region all-star teams. She led the team in service aces for the second year in a row and ranked second in digs, and was third in kills and hitting percentage. Her 486 kills marked the program’s eighth-highest single-season total. She was named MVP of the Bomber Invitational after hitting .302 with 32 digs, 17 blocks and six aces to lead Ithaca to the title. Roth was named to the all-tournament team at the NYSWCAA playoffs and the Brockport Invitational. She recorded four 20-kill performances, posting a personal-best 24 against Cortland. She hit .467 in that match. Among her 10 double-doubles was a 21-kill, 15-dig outing against RIT in the conference tournament and a 22-kill, 13-dig showing in a win over Nazareth.

2001: Roth played in 34 matches, leading the team with 71 service aces. She collected 271 kills, 267 digs, and 29 total blocks. She opened the season with a career-high 11 service aces against Hartwick. She was in double-digit kills 12 times, including a career-high 21 against national semifinalist Nazareth at the Bomber Invitational. She was in double-digit digs 11 times, including the final three matches of the season.

High School: Roth played for coach Lawrence Calderon at Harbor High School.

Personal: The daughter of Donald and Suzanna Roth, she is a sport management major.
