Ithaca College Athletics

Mary Wallenbeck has been part of the Ithaca coaching staff since 2001. Wallenbeck graduated from Ithaca, where she was a member of the volleyball and track & field teams.

Wallenbeck spent 11 seasons as the head volleyball coach at Spencer-Van Etten High School, where she led the team to a 184-56 record. She also served as head coach for the 16-and-under Southern Tier Volleyball Club and assistant coach for the Empire State Games.

Wallenbeck is also an assistant coach for the women’s track & field team at Ithaca. Her father is women’s cross country coach Bill Ware, a member of the Ithaca College Hall of Fame. She and her husband, Jeffrey, have a son, Connor.
